We are looking for you as a student midwife in cooperation with Goethe University Frankfurt and Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences at the Helios Dr. Horst Schmidt Clinic. Become part of a strong network and start your practical phase with us. Application period 01.10.25 – 28.02.2026

• As a midwife-to-be, you accompany women during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period in our clinic and in our cooperation houses within Wiesbaden
• You will get to know the work of a midwife in freelance institutions
• You will learn and accompany the holistic care and care of pregnant women, women giving birth, women who have recently given birth and their newborns
• You will learn how to deal professionally with relatives
• You will be involved in large teams and work with many colleagues across professional groups

• University entrance qualification (according to § 10 para. 1 no. 1 HebG and § 54 HHG)
• Applicants who did not acquire their entrance qualification for studies in Germany: Proof of sufficient German language skills (DSH II certificate or comparable proof) & Notice of determination of the university entrance qualification (via the International Office; Deadline: 30.04.)
• Midwifery internship (optional)
• Social skills and enjoyment of working with people
• Open-mindedness, strong communication skills and prudence
• Legally required proof of immunization against measles and pertussis

• A remuneration according to TVHöD of currently approx. 1500 € over the 8 semesters with 20 days of vacation during the semester break and 10 days of vacation for your own planning
• A practice-related training in our Level 1 perinatal centre with almost 2000 births per year
• A comprehensive range of treatments with scientifically based modern obstetrics
• Accompaniment of our midwives during low-intervention births with the help of alternative methods in our midwife-led delivery room
• Getting to know the work in the cooperating midwifery-led facilities with regular reflection days and revision courses with our midwifery teachers and practice instructors
