CAD Designer (m/f/d)

Full-time - Permanent - Mobile working partly possible - Business trips to our location in Friedberg required as part of the induction - Collective agreement: Plastics Processing Industry Hesse

The position is organizationally assigned to the Bad Hersfeld site. In view of the consolidation of R&D, regular business trips to Friedberg will be necessary as part of the induction (approx. 2-3 times per week within the first 2 weeks) and during the first year (probably approx. 1 time per week).

In this role you will be responsible for the mechanical design and assembly of medical devices and systems for blood transfusion in the area of "Transfusion Medicine and Cell Therapies".

Your tasks:

• Mechanical design (3D CAD) and development based on requirements from project objectives or specifications

• Independent development of constructive solutions for the task from the idea to series production and realization of a project idea in an interdisciplinary team

• Standard-compliant documentation of all development steps

• Consideration of tolerance chains in preparation for series production

• Coordination of interfaces with the project team

• Developing requirements and specifications for mechanical parts and device components through problem analysis and subsequent creation of functional specifications

• Creation and development of verification and validation plans, as well as their implementation, evaluation and documentation in English

• Risk analysis (risk assessment, implementation, verification and effectiveness testing of risk control measures)

• Creation, maintenance and provision of complete production documents (CAD 3D data, technical drawings, parts lists, data sheets, assembly instructions)

Your profile:

• Degree in mechanical engineering / design or comparable field of study

• At least 3 years of professional experience in CAD design, ideally in medical technology or in a regulated environment

• Sound knowledge of 3D design programs (CREO Parametric) and ideally Windchill PDM system

• Knowledge of plastics technology desirable

• Quick comprehension and creative talent for problem solving

• High level of technical understanding and strong independence

• Structured and systematic way of working and ability to work in a team

• Very good written and spoken German and English skills
