The position is organizationally assigned to the Bad Hersfeld site. In view of the consolidation of R&D, regular business trips to Friedberg will be necessary as part of the induction (approx. 2-3 times per week within the first 2 weeks) and during the first year (probably approx. 1 time per week).
In this role you will be responsible for the development and realization of innovative electromechanical medical devices. This includes the conception, design and commissioning of functional models, the performance of feasibility analyses and the preparation of standard-compliant documentation.
Conception and development of electromechanical devices in the context of technology and pre-development
Setting up and commissioning functional samples to evaluate new product ideas
Carrying out feasibility studies and developing design solutions up to series production readiness
Creating technical documentation and production documents in accordance with standards (in English)
Planning and execution of functional tests including error analysis and evaluation
Supervision of pilot series construction and optimization of production processes
Coordination of external development service providers
Creation of detailed specifications and verification plans
Completed studies in the field of product development, mechanical engineering or a comparable engineering discipline
At least 3 years of professional experience in dealing with medical devices and their regulatory requirements
Knowledge of risk management and safety-compliant system design
Very good knowledge of written and spoken German and English
Independent and structured way of working as well as ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility
Organizational talent and experimental skills
