What to expect

Counselling skills in challenging life situations: Deepening of skills in dealing with people in difficult situations and with special support needs.
Interdisciplinary work & professional understanding of roles: Strengthening cooperation with different professional groups and developing a clear professional self-image.
Cooperation with external suppliers & target groups: Develop capabilities to collaborate effectively with external service providers and specific audiences.
Independent work & self-reflection: Promotion of independent working methods and continuous self-reflection for quality assurance.
Patient- and relative-oriented counselling & social legislation: Deepening of knowledge in patient- and relative-centered counseling as well as in the relevant social security codes (SGB V, VI, IX, XI) and the associated application procedures.
Dealing with complex psychosocial issues: Development of competencies in conflict management, in dealing with addiction and addiction disorders, in child welfare endangerment and in clinical psychology.

What you bring to the table

School-leaving certificate: General higher education entrance qualification (Abitur), subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or technical college entrance qualification.
Practical experience: An internship in the social sector is an advantage.
Social skills: Enjoyment of working with people, communication skills, empathy and resilience.
Proof of health: Legally required proof of immunization against measles in accordance with the Measles Protection Act.
